Now we need to attach the engine to the larger bottle. To do this we need to modify the lid to accept the engine.
Remove the lid and offer it up to the engine mountings. Try to center the engine on the lid. Mark off where the 3 screw holes are with a waterproof marker. Also mark the location and size of the hole for the engine gasket to go into.
Put the 3 screw holes in the lid and the large central hole for the engine gasket. If you need a few tries at this don’t worry, most bottle lids are universal so there’s no need to panic.
You should end up with something like this –
Screw the engine to the lid. You might want to put a small bit of silicone between the engine and lid here, this will act as a sealant and ensure the whole assembly is airtight. Allow the silicone to dry for a while, you can look at some of my other pages while you are waiting :).
